Nightmare Nightmare | Saff Juno

Devon based musician Saff Juno first started making a mark on the music industry back in 2017 and has previously featured in Flare Magazine with her debut single December Daisies. The track was fittingly released in late December last year and definitely left fans wanting to hear more. Last Friday saw the wait come to an end as Saff’s brand new single was released as a music video.

The new track is titled Nightmare Nightmare and “explores some new emotions surrounding the topic of feeling trapped and discovering the journey of self-love.” The track takes on a different energy to December Daisies and really feels like the start of a whole new sound for Saff! Released on August 13th, the single is now available to listen to on the major streaming platforms and I definitely recommend checking it out!

Despite being completely different to December Daisies, Nightmare Nightmare still has that familiar sound to it and is instantly recognisable as a Saff Juno single. It has a completely different kind of energy to December Daisies at the same time and makes for a strong second single! “Nightmare Nightmare is filled with energy and heavier sounds, making for a bit more of a dance track” and I think fans will definitely be on board with it!

With an energy that’s completely infectious, the single is impossible to listen to while sitting still. It demands your full attention and makes it extremely difficult not to nod along. The vocal effects and harmonies scattered throughout the single are highly effective too, adding a whole other dimension to the track! They really show off the tone of Saff’svoice and leave you thinking that this single is only the beginning for Saff!

A catchy melody and easy to pick up lyrics sit really well alongside each other in this single, and also fit well within the context of the extremely well shot music video. Nightmare Nightmare shows off a different side of Saff’s voice and really highlights her talent for writing and performing her music.

Nightmare Nightmare was released on August 13th, if you haven't already, make sure to check it out on any of the major streaming platforms! Don't forget to check out Saff’s social media at the same time! Give Flare Magazine a follow on social media too to keep up with the new music coming out across the UK and get in touch if you’re releasing something new!
